Curlew at Lindisfarne
Inspired by my first visit to the magical isle of Lindisfarne, I was completely enchanted by the fishing huts made from boats turned upside down, each was individually cobbled together from found objects no longer of practical use and this one was my favorite, the symmetry of the shape of the boat echoed in the ruined castle on Lindisfarne and of course the haunting call of the curlew, it was wonderful to see so many of them. This is individually cut pieces of colored glass, hand painted with Reuche paints and fired in the kiln.
