During a camping trip in May, looking out from between the steep sided cliffs, framing the pebbly cove of St Martin’s Haven towards the island of Skomer. Knowing that the Manx Shearwater are returning to their burrows, having travelled vast distances to rear their young. Gliding so low over the water their form unmistakable once learned from those who know and who share their knowledge.

Measuring approximately 10cms x 16cms

‍I make these in small editions and each is unique, hand painted in the traditional way using Reuche paints that are fired on in the kiln, these pieces are then leaded up and cemented and polished.
