The first time I saw Lapwing’s was on a visit to Ham Wall I was captivated by them, their sudden ascent into the sky as a predator was sensed, how they moved as a group and the flash of white on their underwings as they turned together, their peewit sound bringing such joy.
Hand painted details fired on in the kiln over carefully selected colours of glass to capture the quality of winter light in the marshes which was when I first saw them. Finished off with hand cut lead, soldered and cemented.
Royal mail tracked 48 included in the cost.
